Actor Rob Brinkmann Shuts Down Rumors He Voices Jason in GTA 6

Actor Rob Brinkmann has publicly denied speculation that he portrays co-protagonist Jason in Grand Theft Auto 6, putting an end to viral theories linking him to the high-profile role.

The rumors gained traction after a video clip of Brinkmann speaking circulated on social media, prompting community members to compare his vocal cadence to Jason's dialogue heard in official trailers. Speculation escalated quickly across fan forums, with many believing they had identified the performer behind the male lead.

Brinkmann addressed the claims directly in a video message, thanking viewers for the compliments regarding his voice while firmly ruling himself out of the production.

"A little birdie told me that a little faction of you on that big beautiful internet think that I, Rob Brinkmann, am the voice of Jason Duval in Grand Theft Auto 6," Brinkmann said. "And I gotta tell you, you got it wrong, folks. I’m so sorry, I’m not your guy."

Rockstar Games has maintained strict secrecy regarding the central cast for Grand Theft Auto 6, never officially announcing the actors portraying Jason or co-protagonist Lucia. While internet sleuths have linked several performers to the characters based on facial structure and vocal tone, almost none have been validated by the studio.

Following Brinkmann's clarification, fan theories continue to circle other performers such as Dylan Rourke, though neither Rourke nor Rockstar has commented on the matter. To date, veteran character actor Stephen Root remains the only performer to openly confirm his involvement, portraying supporting character Brian Heder.
