GTA 6 Voice Cast: Confirmed Roles and Leading Theories Behind the Characters

Rockstar Games has kept official casting under strict nondisclosure agreements ahead of the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, but trailer audio, public resumes, and actor remarks have gradually painted a clearer picture of the talent portraying Leonida's cast.

While Rockstar has historically avoided pre-launch cast announcements, several roles have either been confirmed by talent or strongly pinpointed by community investigations.

Confirmed Voice Talent

To date, veteran character actor Stephen Root is the primary talent to openly verify his involvement in Grand Theft Auto 6. Speaking during the BAFTA TV Tea Party, Root confirmed that he provides the voice for Brian Heder, an elder drug runner operating out of the Leonida Keys who provides housing and criminal assignments to protagonist Jason. Fans quickly recognized Root’s distinct delivery following his appearance in preview footage.

Actor Brett Gipson is also tied to the project after a role as a character named Ellis surfaced directly on his acting resume, although neither Rockstar nor Gipson have formally discussed the part in public promotional material.

Protagonists: Jason and Lucia

The dual playable leads at the center of GTA 6 remain officially uncredited by Rockstar, but prominent community candidates have emerged based on vocal patterns and likenesses:

• Lucia Caminos: Widely linked to actress Manni L. Perez (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Jessica Jones). Beyond physical and vocal similarities, Perez previously voiced a background blackjack dealer in GTA Online.
• Jason Duval: Heavily tied to actor Dylan Rourke (9-1-1: Lone Star, Grey’s Anatomy), whose vocal timbre matches Jason's dialogue across promotional footage.

Supporting Characters and Antagonists

Several secondary figures introduced across trailers have drawn plausible connections to recognizable screen talent:

• Cal Hampton: Paranoiac associate Cal Hampton, seen monitoring Coast Guard radio bands in the Leonida Keys, has been widely attributed to former Saturday Night Live cast member Bobby Moynihan.
• Raul Bautista: Veteran bank robber Raul Bautista, who acts as a heist mentor to Jason and Lucia, is suspected to be voiced by Dominican American actor Manny Perez (Sound of Freedom, Luke Cage).
• Officer Méndez: Suspected to serve as a key antagonist within the Vice City Police Department, Officer Méndez is frequently linked to actor John Ortiz (Miami Vice, Fast & Furious).

Other prominent Leonida figures—including music mogul Dre’Quan Priest, nightlife entrepreneur Boobie Ike, and rap duo Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy)—remain unassigned to any specific voice talent.
