New GTA 6 gameplay details: thieving alligators, grudge-holding NPCs and scorching steering wheels

A new list of claimed GTA 6 details paints Leonida as a busy, petty and very Florida world, from gators grabbing guns to neighbours calling the cops on house parties. None of it is confirmed by Rockstar yet.

Rumor / unconfirmed. This story reports a claim that has not been established as a confirmed game detail.

A fresh list of claimed Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay details is doing the rounds, and it leans hard into the small, everyday chaos of Leonida. Rockstar has not confirmed any of these, so treat them as unverified until the game is in players' hands.

Wildlife with attitude

  • Alligators can steal your weapons if you get too close to the water.
  • Seagulls may attack you if you carry food near the beach.
  • Animals can raid your backpack and take food if you leave it unattended.
  • Jellyfish warnings on some beaches stop you from swimming in certain areas.

NPCs who remember, judge and dodge

  • NPCs can recognise you from earlier encounters and bring up embarrassing things you did before.
  • Commuters may fake sleep on public transport so they don't have to give up their seats.
  • Store security guards reportedly follow you around if you browse for too long.
  • Fishing rivals can challenge you to a contest, then accuse you of cheating if you land the bigger fish.

A neighbourhood that lives without you

  • House parties can get so loud that the neighbours call the police.
  • Neighbourhood protests can block roads and force you to find another route.
  • Wedding crashers beware: walk into a ceremony by accident and you can be thrown out for ruining the photos.

Small touches

  • Hot steering wheels: leave your car in the sun too long and the wheel becomes too hot to touch.
  • Wi-Fi passwords written on routers in some houses let you get online.

Should you believe it?

Several of these fit the kind of detail Rockstar is known for, but the list arrives without trailer footage or an official source behind it. GTA 6 is due on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so the answers are not far away.
